These things are awesome for painters. Many years ago, I worked as a helper on a paint crew that painted rental houses. for an average 3br/2ba, I could have all the outlet and switch plate covers off in less than 20 minutes.

much cheaper at HF, think i paid about that price for a 4 pack, 2 standard, 2 phillips.
word to the HF shoppers, or would be HF shoppers.

Wouldn’t an impact driver or cordless drill be better than these rapi-drives for wall outlets and switch plates? Just assuming ’cause I’m not a painter….

Most painters don’t have need for any other cordless tools, so adding a power driver of any kind is extra cost and bulk.
On top of that, it’s really easy to shatter the plates with a powered driver of any kind. The newer “unbreakable” nylon covers are better, but enough force and you can either break them or, even worse, strip the thread in the outlet.
