Dealmonger: Paladin Universal Cable Slitter $21

We read about the Paladin Universal Cable Slitter for the first time today and decided to look for the lowest price — we found it at Technical Connections for $21, a good $4 off the list price.  The cable slitter strips cable both longitudinally and peripherally, which looks like a great timesaver when doing any intensive wiring jobs.

    I have been using a blue point version of this tool for several years and let me say for round multi-conductor cable this tool is the best. Once set up it takes less that 5 seconds to strip the outer insulation off the cablefor as much distance as you need.

    This works great on heavy rubber SJO cord, coax, multiconductor, you name it. No nicks or cuts on the inner wires. You can even remove the jacket from the middle of a length of wire by making two periphery cuts and slitting away what’s in between.
