Preview: Stanley 3-in-1 Tripod Flashlight
By Sean O'Hara
Stanley continues to keep its flashlight line fresh with the coming addition of the 3-in-1 tripod LED flashlight. Just from the look of it the new light seems more capable than its predecessors — it features better bulbs, each contained in a separate unit that can be removed from the master unit and carried separately.
With the separating units, Stanley has taken a pretty big leap on the forward-thinking scale — we suspect this innovation will be imitated rather quickly by the rest of the competitive field. Each unit features a 120-degree rotating head with a high-output LED which Stanley says puts out around 20 lumens, for a total of about 60 lumens if all of them are in the master unit.
The flashlight runs on AAs — two per unit for a total of six — and we expect one set of batteries will power the LEDs for a long time.
The price point is set at around $30, and Amazon claims to ship in four to seven weeks, so the “in stores” date should be fairly soon.

Cool flashlight, Sean… it’s like a battery-powered bonfire. BTW, I can’t seem to get the Amazon link to work.
