Rol-La-Tank

Who would’ve thought you could store thousands of gallons of water in a tank that folds up to the size of a tent and can be carried by one guy? That’s just what you get with the Rol-La-Tank from Fol-Da-Tank.
Designed to be a relay storage tank for storing liquids temporarily in remote locations, this portable tank sets up in less than two minutes with no tools. Simply unroll the tank, unfold and insert the four (or six) corners, and snap the liner into the clips — easier than most tents.
Fol-Da-Tank constructs the frame from aircraft-quality aluminum and the liner from industrial-strength vinyl. They sell seven different Rol-La-Tank sizes ranging from 250 to 3,000 gallons and weighing from 35 to 118lbs.
All models ship with a heavy-duty storage bag and emergency field repair kit. The smallest Rol-La-Tank runs about $650 while the largest runs $1,500. Red, yellow, green, blue, and orange liner colors are available with custom stenciling at no extra charge.

The military has been using onion tanks for a fairly long time. No need for poles, they are self supported.

Wonder if they could just use one of those $200 inflatable easy set swimming pools to do the same thing. Looks like the easy set pools stole their design from the military’s onion tanks.

[...] Their focus, of course, is different from ours, but Toolmonger is an incredible site – often showing emergency response/reconstruction tools we’d never hear of otherwise. Here’s one the Rol-La-Tank: (or Fol-Da-Tank, which might be the company name, or the name of the product line). They’ve got both URL’s Foldatank.com and Fol-Da-Tank – this should give interested readers enough to find them. .gallery { margin: auto; } .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } .gallery img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } [...]
Rol-La-Tank is unique in that the sides are self-standing (without being already full) making it ideal for tanker dumping (no need to monitor collar of onion/pumpkin tank). Compact storage and relative light weight make it convenient and highly portable. Used as a reliable relay tank for pumping water up into hills/mountains with portable pumps and forestry hose. Also great if you just don’t have room for a traditional folding-frame tank on your truck. http://www.fol-da-tank.com
