Something made the zerk fitting stick.  Crud, corrosion, etc.  All this gizmo is going to do is drive that stuff into your machines grease cavity. Where it can wreak havoc with your roller bearings.

Roller bearings are not debris friendly.  Why spend good money to save a bit and put them at risk?</description>
