		<description>I use the wide opening (6 inch) vise daily for soldering and light metalwork. The reversible rubber pads don't scratch and hold small items firmly without crushing them. Eric is right. The best holder for a connector is its mate. I have a board loaded with chassis mount versions of the most common connectors we use. No vise involved. No vice either.</description>

PS: If you're doing bulk cable assembly, simply clamp the opposite gender connector of what you'll be working on into the vice and you can quickly swap out connectors as you tin all their pins in a batch.</description>
