Ultimate Butane Giveaway

Once a month, for all of 2008 — oops — Steinel is giving away an Ultimate Butane Kit to a randomly selected website registrant. You don’t even already have to own a winch! You will of course have to surrender the normal contact information and receive promotional materials and junk forever, but there’s a lot of great stuff in the kit.
The Ultimate Butane Kit contains a torch, mini-torch, and soldering iron, plus a ton of special application tips. Steinel lists some of the applications for the kit: soldering, desoldering, welding, light brazing, shrinking, cutting, and even thawing locks. Just don’t keep it in the car with the lock de-icer.

Dremel makes a corded model with lots of tips

I signed up for the contest and almost immediately got 5 new spam emails. had a bunch more today, I can’t say for sure that it is because of this contest, but I don’t recall giving my email for anything else lately.
