I have one and really like it. Rubbermaid also makes a hook you attach to it so it is easy to hang up where you can find it.

These things are great. After you get one you will be reaching for it constantly. I have a little $3 dustpan and brush on my peg board for that little pile left after you've swept up, but that's for getting things done at a leisurely pace. With this thing I can go nuclear! My wife used to work weekends, which gave me and the kids all day to mess up the house. She would always come home in a bad mood, so I would use the last 30 minutes before she got home to grab the broom and this little wonder. Juice boxes, goldfish crackers, bottle caps, pizza crusts, candy wrappers...Heck, I would stand up on the coffee table and sweep that after I got the floor. After I hit the floors and table tops with a wet rag from the day's car washing, the place was spotless..but not sanitary.

When I really wanted to earn brownie points I would run the air hose in from the garage and blast everything in sight - nicknacks, bookshelves, lampshades, toaster, dogs (watch the air pressure on that one) . It's like zero to Martha Stewart in 30 minutes!

I usually just use the trusty old D-handle scoop shovel.

Well, it's actually not old. I left the [t]rusty old one with my sister in Colorado a few years ago so she'd have a shovel in her trunk in the event of a snowstorm. The current scoop shovel is about a week old. Hasn't earned the trusty or old monikers yet.
