Hello guys. My name is Chris and I am an employee of the Grout Grabber Company. I am sorry to hear that so many of you are having problems with our tool. I will attach a link to a Grout Grabber video where you can see how this is done properly. As you will see in the video, the man starts off slowly, almost making a starter channel for his blade to follow in. Once he has a path made he increases the speed, and you will have no problems keeping the blade in the joint. It’s all in the speed control of your saw, please let me know if anyone finds this helpful.

They are tricky to use. I got it to clean up my grout. I ended up attaching the blade to a wooden dowel and using it by hand to scrape the offending bad grout out - basically I was just scratching the surface (not removing all the grout and for that purpose it worked well.)

I have a serious concern about rock dust getting into the reciprocating mechanism and ruining the tool, in the same manner as orbital sanders can’t be used to sand gyproc and other fine rock based products - screws up the bearings.

But I stick with my recommendation about the Multimaster - forget the Dremel and its larger brother RotoZip (both form Skil-Bosch - and both having their place) and go with the Fein.

Raise your hands, everyone that knows the “Destroyzall” nickname for these saws. Attaching this will only extend the destruction to tile surfaces. This after having tried to actually use one myself. Your better choice might be a RotoZip sort of tool with the grout kit. Pickup a bunch of extra bits as you WILL cook them faster than you’d like…

I think I’d probably rig up a guide so’s not to scratch the heck out of those pretty blue tiles.

My guys may not be as steady as the fellow pictured here - but when we tried this tool - we found it to be too herky-jerky for quality work - even on larger floor tiles.
We had thought this might be a lower cost alternative to Fein blades but using the Fein Multimaster with a segmented blade is much much better.
