Get A Handle On Your Ruler
By Benjamen Johnson
I can’t put my finger on it, but something about the way Shop Fox designed this ruler makes me want to grab one and start using it. Perhaps it’s because the handle allows you to push down on the straight-edge and keep your fingers out of harm’s way when you’re scoring materials with a utility knife.
Not just a tool for drawing and cutting straight lines, this 24″ ruler graduated in both inches and millimeters features built-in bubble vials, so it can also find level and plumb.
Adding a handle and level vials to an aluminum straight-edge may not qualify it for Innovation of the Year, but hey, it’s only $10.

Boy, I watched a guy cut one of his fingers right the hell OFF a couple years ago cutting drywall with a razor knife. It was ugly!
