I'm not trying to pick a fight with Karl but I have about a half dozen Insteon devices installed for about 3 years. They have been working well for me. I have messed around w/X-10 and had some difficulty but the Inseon has worked well for me.

Wow, Karl. Sound like the old X-10 stuff might be better. Granted, it's not very sophisticated, but I have many working modules that are old enough to drink in all 50 states. :) Dirt cheap and stupid-simple to program too. And MisterHouse runs the show for me to give me the complexity layer that X-10 lacks.

That's Smarthome's INSTEON products. I have had a horrible experience with INSTEON and their low quality devices. Sorry if I sound a little bitter, but I have wasted *days* of my life on faulty INSTEON devices.
