Ah, I love it. A little perusing around the 'flexiwrench' website, and guess who is the inventor of this device... ol' CAPS LOCK GUY himself!

http://www.flexiwrench.com/contact.htm

Now the atrocious misspellings and poor grammar on his website, his packaging and on his post up above all make sense.

Well, I guess education is overrated when you can spend your time inventing a tool, instead. Who needs first grade?

(And what great customer relations when Dan Faro is calling potential customers morons. Oh, please sign me up to give him my money!)

I hereby revoke my post up above where I said I might actually buy the thing.

Looks like something I would never use. And if I did use it, I assume it would break the first time I wrenched on it. I can think of many more useful things to spend $20 on. Like a set of real wrenches, real sockets, or real screwdrivers. Heck, I could always take a cheap wrench, stick it in the vise and bend it into a curly-q if I ever needed a curly-q shaped wrench.

As for caps lock guy(DAN faro). I wonder if he also writes the Nigerian emails I keep getting....

Well, the little demo that Grundy did on DIY's 'Cool Tools' show made this thing look pretty darn good, for whatever that's worth. And the price isn't bad. If it does turn out to be a crappy device, however, you are only out twenty bucks, or so (plus tax and shipping).

But if it helps me to get that pesky bolt that affixes the strap to the water heater in my garage without having to move the refrigerator first... then it has paid for itself... at least in my case.

I may just give the silly thing a shot... poor packaging, misspelling and all.

As for the poster above with the questionable language proficiency, you might at least check the status of your caps lock key before posting.

Chris -- it's gone now. There used to be a meta-refresh tag (see the discussion for Tooltalk Podcast #40), but the admins must've removed it today.

@Zathrus: Greasemonkey is only going to block what it can see in scripts. This auto-refresh thing isn't in any of the JS I see in the page source here (but it's also not in a meta refresh tag, which is what I was expecting). Either they've turned it off or it's some nasty server-side thing that we can't see (and therefore can't do anything about).

Ok, the auto-refresh thing is annoying, but how are you "losing posts" to it?

I've lost a word or two at most. But it really needs to be turned off. If it's not gone by the time Greasemonkey is updated for FF3, then I'm definitely going to write a GM script to strip the dang thing out of the pages.

Well, I lost another post due to this automatic refresh feature. I have a feeling Toolmonger and I will be seeing less of each other. This is rediculous.

It might be useful on that one bolt that you can't reach without removing a bunch of other stuff first.

Looking at the square drive on the wrench heads - I suspect that their illustrator was even worse than their engineer. If one attaches the head 90 degrees off of the way the illustration depicts the tool - then the application of torque would be possible.

I would think a frequently asked question for the Flexiwrench Plus would be: if it flexes/bends along an axis parallel to the nut you are trying to turn, how do you get any torque on the nut? In other words, how does it act like a wrench?

The FAQ doesn't answer that question, nor does the video.
