No tools, minimal hassle. The second one I bought has a nipple, to which you can attach some tubing to control exactly where the oil drains. I can't remember the car forum, but i found a 10% off coupon pretty easily. But I could see it being useful to carry around in the car as part of an emergency tool kit, though I would rather see something in the 8mm to 15mm range for that.
