I have several pairs, some with the plasticoated handles, and one with the ergonomic molded handles. The jaws stay parallel and the gripping power is incredible. It really isn't fair to compare these to the old knuckle buster adjustible wrenches or a slip loint pliers. Nothing delecate about these. It's more like a precision machinits vice or a portable arbor press. Actually I modified the jaws on one of these to press in metal pins in a recessed part. Until you have tried these you can't image how well the can hold a piece of metal. Great to hold small parts while grinding or polishing on a wheel.

Chad's Toolbox looks great, except they violate the PayPal TOS by charging a 3% fee to accept a payment that way... it put me off from ordering.

Most Knipex Pliers are very good - Chad's Toolbox is a good cheaper source than many others.
