I've always loved watching the crows picking apart roadkill, because they'll see a car coming, hop to the other side of the white line, wait for the car to pass, and hop right back. They know the cars stay between the lines, so they don't need to fly completely away like other birds. Sadly, the local population was hit pretty hard by West Nile, and hasn't fully recovered yet.
