I have had one of these for about a year now, and I love it. I use a 16' FatMax tape measure on it with no problems (being primarily a cabinetmaker, I don't need longer tape, but I don't see why a longer tape wouldn't work with it. They all have the same size clip on the back don't they?) Prior to having this, I wasn't exactly ripping my pockets off, but it was definitely a race between whether the pockets or knees of my pants were going to wear out and give way first.. Now that it's the knees by a long shot, my pants last for much longer! Since I use a mechanical pencil, the sharpener is pretty useless to me, but the frame is heavy enough that I can mount some sort of pencil-hanger off of it. I already hang my ear plug case from it, which means that I 'forget' to put in my plugs much less often too, since they are always right there at my hip. Very useful!

Most Amazon reviewers say it's not great.
Too small to hold 25 foot tape measures, and not very secure. Interesting idea, tho.
