I've got two of them; and they are great except for one thing: they don't use standard fittings; or standard threads (so you can replace the fittings).

Costco has/had this for the same price, if you've got one near you.

I picked up one a couple months ago. Heck of a deal!

The "Shop Force" brand that appears at Meijer in the midwest is pretty nice too, and the 140psi model is on clearance for $20 at many stores. It's built waaaaay better than the average 12-volt compressor, though it'd still take a few minutes to bring up a flat tire. It's got a very beefy motor, cast head, well-made hose, and mostly-metal body. (I think the feet are rubber and the handle is plastic.) If you're familiar with Meijer, check the clearance endcaps in the auto section.

That's a good price! These are popular with rock crawlers to air up after getting off the trail because of the high volume they can put out. Not enough to run air tools on but a lot faster than the regular cheapo compressors you can plug into your cigarette lighter.

I'm more PC hardware than "real" hardware like this - is this something that would be useful in the garage? I'm thinking the cheap air tools I see at Harbor Freight - is it the right connector? It sure doesn't look like a standard just-fill-your-tires pump.

Thanks for the tip - I've been looking for a compressor that was small and inexpensive. $49 sure beats finding quarters for the gas station air on a regular basis. SOLD.
