Dealmonger: Moleskine Pocket Square Notebook $9.50
By Stephen Cooke
When we told you to buy one of these great notebooks earlier this year, we were dead-right. It’s one of the greatest notebooks ever. Mine is currently full of sketches, thoughts, plans, shopping lists, and a whole bunch of other crap. When I went to order a fresh one from Amazon’s new and used section today, I discovered that Amazon is selling them for $9.50 — about a buck cheaper than you usually see them retail.
The Moleskine notebook is pocket sized, hard bound, and has the square/gridded pages — though they make lined and open versions, too. Not included are hand drawn illustrations of the next great tool or project. That’s up to you.

That’s a fine looking notebook, and I’m sure it’s worth the cash, but I’d have to point people to the Staples “house brand” quad-ruled composition books. Last time I caught them on sale and picked up 25 or so for under a buck a piece…

These are hardback with a lot of pages. I have to admit, I’ve joined the moleskine club. My wife was starting to use them and I was using some 3/$1 ones from Target or something. The ones with the spiral at the top. Let’s just say that after getting one of these, I’m a convert.

If you want to check these out firsthand before purchasing them, head over to your nearest Barnes & Noble - they typically have a large variety of Moleskines.

I don’t know if these are the same exact thing or not, but ThinkGeek.com has these in a three-pack for $7.99…
