Man, if I ever need to crimp blasting caps in the middle of nowhere again, my life will most likely have taken a giant turn for the suck.
Has Gerber’s quality improved any? the first multi-tool of theirs I ever saw was in ’92 when I was in the 82nd. Somebody snapped one of the plier jaws clean off that thing.
The only one?
I don’t believe that SOG has stop making their EOD line…
They were the first to market an EOD-specific tool, and worked quite closely with the military on the design. They assisted in creating the military specification that Gerber is holding to.
I like Gerber, to be sure, but SOG deserves a LOT of credit here. This was their idea, and their niche market until Gerber decided to copy them.
