I once bought a 1963 Jeep pickup with four frozen brake drums. Getting it on the trailer took a four-wheel drive tractor, which I didn’t have access to when it came time to take it off the trailer. I did, however, have access to two wheel dollies.
So I stuck the wheel dollies under the front two tires and backed the trailer up to the stoutest oak tree in the yard. I wrapped all my comealongs around the tree, then around the rear axle of the pickup. I then put my tow vehicle in four-wheel-drive, dropped it into gear and gunned it. The trailer came sliding out from under the pickup and surprisingly came through without a scratch.
I ended up parting out that pickup right under that oak tree.
