[...] We previously posted a Dealmonger about Milwaukee’s 18V li-ion 4-piece combo kit, but the $80 gift certificate from that deal is no longer available. This deal, however, will get you the best price we’ve seen right now. As we mentioned previously, this 4-pack combo kit brings together some of the more popular Milwaukee items into one convenient kit: you get the 1/2” hammer driver/drill that delivers up to 550 in/lbs of torque, the Sawzall recip saw, the 6-1/2” circular saw, and a xenon worklight with Clip-Lok.
Is it just me, or is counting the flashlight as part of the set totally lame? The dewalt version sells on amazon for like 10-15 bucks without a battery.

Funny, a 4-pc. 18v Li-Ion set for $506 and just below there's an advert for Milwaukee V28 Li-Ion set (same tools) for $600.

I have a "cheap-ass" 4-pc. 18v Ni-cad set from HF for $100. But as Koba said, I have to check out the impact driver from Mil. I'm looking to consolidate to one package instead of having 3 different batt types.

Just recycle the Ni-Cd "throw-aways", please. :)

I wouldn't exactly herald now as the time to make the Li-ion jump, I mean, where is Milwaukee's impact driver for crying out loud? The answer is, coming in the next few weeks. If it were me, I would find this kit in regular old craptastic NiCad form (on ebay shipped new w/ warranty for 370) and buy the impact driver w/ 2 li-ion batts and charger at a later date. All in all, I would have spent 100-150 more (depending on how fast prices on the impact driver kit drop) and I would have both the impact driver and two batteries that I could consider throw away.
