The one from Harbor Freight is almost always on sale. In this month's flyer it's $9.99.

I have two that size from HF and they were worth every penny and more. I've moved freezers on mine with no problem. I also made one into a tool cart. I used plumbing pipe for the upright and the dolly for the base. I got the idea from a pic I saw somewhere on the net.

PrincessAuto is the closest thing to HF in Canada, but the price differential varies from an pretty even match (given some minor variation for dollar) to outrageous (a $479 mini mill costs $999). But, better than nothing.

I wouldn't mind seeing more Canadian C.A.T. postings, especially from varied vendors (e.g. Canadian Tire, Sears, P.A., Home Depot (probably has different sales than US), etc.)

I got a 1,500 pound one for $18 at Fleet Farm a couple weeks ago. It was more than worth it even though I've only used it once so far.

I bought mine a couple years ago at Home Depot and have been using it every so often. It's a nice thing to have around the house and shop.

hiyabba's right - very similar one @ HF for $20, not too bad especially if you've got a coupon or it goes on sale.

its worth noting that their current flyer has some really cool stuff in it, like a tow strap for $20 and some 2 ton jack stands for $12(which btw I didn't see in store, but all their other jack stands were on sale too).

http://www.princessauto.com/_osn.cfm?CTRY=USA&SRCH=1&SRCHAREA=OSN&T1=1,00020LB20PLATFORM20DOLLY

My typical amazon link for those who hate shipping: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00062NEFU/

(TM guys - feel free to add your referral tags to any and all amazon links that I post.)

Anyways, I think that $25 is a fair price and a bit cheaper than it would cost to DIY from new materials. A lot of people have scrap lumber, so for them it's just the cost of casters which can sometimes be salvaged as well.

> Sure, you can build a better one on your own. But why bother at this price?

Why bother? Because I can't figure out how to buy it. :) There isn't a "buy" button or "add to cart" on that page.
