Make Flush Cuts With Your Recip Saw

Bending blades and marring finishes while trying to cut inside corners on shelves and walls with a reciprocating saw sucks. Thankfully Paws Off Tools got wound up enough about it to make an attachment that dramatically mitigates the problem.
Their adapter offsets your standard recip saw blade, keeping the tool out of the way for flush cuts. The adapters tang chucks right up in most recip saws, so it’s easy to install and remove.
As far as we can see, there’s no downside: contractors can rip it up and make quick flush cuts without having to drag along another tool.

I completely removed the left side of my circular saw to cut the 1/2″ expansion gap against the wall on some hardwood flooring I installed. Originally the intention was to use a biscuit jointer, but I burned it out and had to go to plan ‘b’. This looks like a handy alternative.

This thing actually looks pretty easy to fabricate. Could have used one today.
