It’s Just Cool: A 1900s-Style Wooden Pocket Watch

By Sean O'Hara

This wooden marvel isn’t a clever Photoshop job or a toy look alike, it’s an actual, functioning 1900s-style pocket watch that – except for the springs – is constructed entirely of wood.

Sadly, the site linked below doesn’t offer much information about the actual construction techniques or who made it, but the movement tells the entire story almost by itself.  This was either the work of a master woodcrafter with a super-steady hand — or those tiny elves that live in the oak tree and make chocolate cookies.
