Nah, this drill is build for ONE purpose : media exposure.
In that light it does a magnificent job!

Porsche design has nothing to do with Porsche cars. It is a sepperate company, although it was started by Ferdinand Porsche. It does not however design the Porsche cars.
But ohwell....everyting that says Porsche will sell.....nice cars though..

I'm really intrigued by this Metabo/Porsche drill i think it would be a bit unwieldly to be truthful, but it looks really nice, anyone know if the chuck is interchangeable, my old man has a porsche, and i think he'd love this, but he uses both SDS and Normal Drill bits.

The "Porsche Design" brand is showing up on everything from external hard drives to, well, tools. I think we're more making fun of the price than the product -- and enjoying a bit of a laugh about how many media outlets that don't normally cover tools are covering it.

I still can't figure out if its an overhand or underhand drill.. I do still wonder why people are poking so much fun at it though -- seems to me if you can build a porsche you know a heck of a lot more about tools than I do.. even if you make a weird and expensive drill.

Nice looking drill, I know a couple of Porsche owners who'd love to get their perfectly manicured hands on one.
