Dealmonger: Cepco Tool BW-2 BoWrench Decking Tool

I noticed this morning that Amazon stocks Cepco’s BoWrench decking tool for just $45. This tool enables you to single-handedly straighten a warped deck board and secure it with your other hand. You can either pull or push to straighten boards — just the ticket for speeding up deck installation. It is getting to be deck season, isn’t it?

I suppose if you were installing a lot of decks it would be worth the $45, but as for my use it’s a bit pricey especially when I can do the same with some of the wood (and screws) already at hand.
I thought it was rivet season.
I guess if you install desks professionally this would be nice. But I think most places selling lumber will take warped boards back in exchange for a non warped board.
I was installing a wood beaded ceiling and needed a tool to hold the boards tight together while attaching. It was the perfect tool. It grabbed the rafter and held the board very tightly against the next with little effort. It was definitely the best method of the many I tested for working overhead. Combined with an air nailer, it made my “one man” operation a breeze.
