hardened to stay sharp?
get a better alloy that wont go soft when you sharpen it after a few weeks. The sharpening heats it and it loses temper.

"Suspiciously cheap" from Stuey is right on. Sound like Harbor Freight prices. You get what you pay for.

"Heat honing" sounds like something the marketing department thought up.

I've never heard of 'heat honing', and am picky about my chisels ability to hold an edge. Something tells me what you save in purchase price you spend in time re-sharpening. But I suppose if somebody needs something to hammer through a pine knot with a steel hammer, then throw away, this would work.

"Save an extra 20% on this item at checkout when Amazon.com is the seller. "

So that would make this set $6.09.

I've seen Fuller brand products on Amazon before, but they're suspiciously cheap.
