I’m currently building a shed out of good old wood. Sure, it will cost more, but it will last longer than one of these common metal sheds. If you’re up for a project, get some plans (84 Lumber stores sell them cheap or may even give you them) and buy the materials. Then you can tinker with options, switch walls, enlarge the doors, etc.

I’m looking forward to building mine not only for the end result but as a learning experience. And what better reason to buy some new tools!

This looks a lot like the one I lost this winter to 6″ of snow. The roof is shallow so be warned if you get snow accumulation.

Oh, does anyone know of other good places to shop for similiar storage buildings and carport covers? Especially do it yourself?

From what I can read about the specs the building is only 5 and 3/4 feet high. That means you would hit your head going into the building.
