They also make a 110VAC powered version. I didn't search for where you could get it though. I use mine inside and out.

Mine held up for a year...before my house burned down. Anyway, it is very bright. I work till 11pm and would BBQ till 1am with this. The magnet IS strong, I'm guessing the commenter above was using it on a stainless grill etc. because it really stuck good to my steel Chargriller.

The one 'con' is that since it uses LED's in the white/blue spectrum it doesnt make it easy to see if your steak is medium well, or well done.

I'd like to hear more stories about how robust (or not) this is. I'd consider getting one, but I don't want to get one twice a year.

I bought three of these at Target for $5 each. They were 75%off! Target often has great clearance prices on discontinued items. They have weak magnets and a clamp. The light is bright enough, but the gooseneck is flimsy and starts to unscrew at each end if twisted slightly. I have one in each car and one in the shop.

I got one from Lowe's ... it was great when it worked ... which wasn't but about twice ... it was never left on the grill overnight and was stored inside a shed so it was protected

I guess it was just my luck to get the one that didn't hold up

I have this light, wife got it at Lowe's- don't know how much, but I'm sure it was pretty cheap. It works great, batteries last forever, and it's been rained (and snowed) on several times to no effect. It also makes a handy clamp-on adjustable work light; I'm thinking about getting another just to keep in the truck.
