Great podcast. I bought a logan mat cutter on eBay for about 75 bucks. Also, Ikea has cheap framed artwork in interesting frames that are a good source of frames (just pitch the art). Great investment, the 75 bucks was worth it in the first mat I made.

Nice podcast! I just wanted to add that you can get a cutter AND guide for about $100. That's about what I paid for this one http://www.logangraphic.com/products/boardmounted/compact.shtml . It's much easier than using a straight edge and the time and frustration it saves is worth it. I used the cutter and straight edge method for a long time and they never turned out as well as what I get from using the guide.

On another note, you guys should post links to some of the things you mention in the podcasts. I really think that would add a lot without much more effort.
