“Nutbusters” from Channellock: No, That’s a GOOD Thing. Really.

Rob writes: “These Channellocks feature smaller jaws than standard tounge-in-groove pliers, but with a curved jaw they grab everything. They make up for what they lose in size with the additional grip.”
I haven’t personally used these, but I could see how the curved jaw would increase leverage — and might help in grabbing hold of round or odd-shaped items. I’m not sure they’d really serve as full-on replacements for standard tongue-in-groove pliers, though. For example: would these work well removing spring clamps?
Clearly Channellock is selling these for the purpose of removing stuck and/or jacked-up nuts, though, and they look great for that purpose.
They’re offered in 7″, 9-1/2″, and 14″ versions, and street pricing hovers around $20. We did find the 9-1/2″ version — probably the most commonly-used — via Amazon for $14.

Good to see Channellock still makes these. Looked for a pair a few years back, couldn’t find them. I’ll look a little harder today.
