Dealmonger: A 10″ Compound Miter Saw for $50
By Chuck Cage
Sizod writes: “It’s made by Denali and it’s $49.99 plus free shipping from Amazon, and with a 4-out-of-5 star rating it might be worth a look.” From Amazon’s description:
- Powerful 14 amp motor allows for tough cutting applications
- Polished base delivers miter cuts from 0-47 degrees with five positive stops
- Uniquely designed bevel adjustment handle for tighter clamping force and accuracy
- Spindle lock button for quick and easy blade change and work-piece clamp for securing materials
- 1 year limited manufacturer’s warranty
Hey, I totally agree. I don’t know much about Denali, but for $50 it’d be easy to take a risk on it.

There’s a number of Denali tools on Amazon that are surprisingly cheap, but I have no idea whether they’re any better than Harbor Freight. I would be interested if anyone has actual experience.

Probably an ideal choice for a DYI’er with an occasional need for miter cuts. But, like your old dad used to say, you get what you pay for. A few more bucks up front usually means a few more years of service down the road.

Alas, it’s been increased to $60 now, but they have a Delta SM100M 13 Amp 10-Inch Compound Miter saw for $80 (on sale $19 off)
