I have to agree with Paul about the looks of some of the green Hitachi stuff. Looks like props from an Incredible Hulk movie. That aside, for a C-Note you are getting a good cutting deal on this one. Yeah, it is a dry saw so you will be dealing with a lot of dust. For a home DIY kinda guy, this is where my money goes on a product that will see limited use but where renting the real deal will set me back most of the price of this tool.

I'm over here choking on the dust just thinking about it! Concrete is that variety of "hard" dust, you know the kind of stuff that really lays you low after exposure. I'm sure the tool has no problems operating just fine and dandy dry cutting concrete. But if it is going to do it in my presence it'd better be able to whistle Jingle Bells while it is doing it! Because it is going to be snowing concrete dust.

There is just something distinctive about the look of Hitachi "Mean Green" tools though. Although lately I think their appearance has been more than a bit over the top for me. This one is not nearly as bad as some I've seen recently.

BTW is that db rating cutting something, or just the tool running? At 11,500 RPM I can easily see that sound level just being the tool. It's whistling some tune.
