I love my spot worklights. I have them over lots of work stations. I like the spring-arm lamps usually. They all seem to have some sort of an endemic problem with their rotary switches. So I see lots of these lamps disposed of, and can pick them up for free. A simple removal of the switch, and bridge out where it was, and let there be light!

Seems like a good deal, if I manage to find one in my local Ikea, I will report back on the magnet idea. Right now I am experimenting with magnets and 18ga steel sheets as an alternative to pegboard.

Which leads me to think that for low money I could have a totally modular magnetic lighting setup over my workbench.
