Reader Find: SafeTec’s Work Platform
By Chuck Cage
Roscoe writes: “This lightweight scaffolding folds up flat and is light enough for one man to carry. We just bought one and already wish we had two. It’s perfect for work at ceiling height. Perhaps it’s best feature is how light it is – not much heavier than a fiberglass ladder.”
The one pictured is the “3-Step Lightweight” model, which weighs in at just 26 lbs. and features a 3.5′ x 15″ deck with an “aggressive tread pattern.” It adjusts to four height settings ranging from 18″ to 40″.
They also include an 18 month warranty.

This ties into an old post.

A folding ladder with a 2×12 makes a nice short scaffold, and it can be used for normal laddering duties. Mine has the potential to pinch my fingers, but I’ve figured out how to work it so it doesn’t.
Watch me pinch my fingers next time.

I inquired directly to the company about the platform and got no response. You do not conduct business like that. A good product but company poorly run.
