Reader Find: Conduit Repair System
By Chuck Cage
Phillip writes: “If you’ve ever broken a conduit while remodeling or during construction, you know what a job it can be to replace the stub out. Now Carlon sells a repair kit that’ll quickly facilitate the replacement of a stub out.”Here’s how it works: You cut off the broken conduit, ream the inner diameter of the conduit, then insert a coupling or adapter that maintains the conduit’s inner diameter. Carlon sells a reamer kit plus a variety of adapters, couplers, and plugs to finish the job.
Carlon’s already closed today, so we’ll give ‘em a call Monday about pricing — unless any of you happen to know how much it costs. We’re having a bit of trouble finding it directly on the web.
