I bought a pair this past winter, to help keep my hands warm & clean while working out in the garage, & to tell the truth I kept taking them off. They do affect your dexterity. But I wore them when I was cutting metal with my angle grinder, & they kept me from getting burnt when I put my hand on a piece hot piece of metal. Melted the glove a little, but saved me. I try to were them all the time, but they are hard to not want to take off. They have survived a lot of washing though, & haven't fallen apart yet.

I'll tell you what these things are good for, riding my old Harley. Dampens the vibration and makes long rides a lot more comfortable.

After wearing through a couple pairs of regular Mechanix gloves I thought these might be a more durable solution, and add some extra protection. Not so. Yes, the rubber along the back of the hand does offer some better protection, but they quickly broke apart at the seams. The mesh they are made of just cannot handle the stress they are normally subjected to.

It's not the knuckles taht I'm worried about.... I just wish that someone would make gloves where the finger tips don't wear into holes in a month. Oh, and still allow for better-than-average dexterity.
