I have good luck with the products from this company: http://www.theibag.com/

They're more than willing to customize any bag to exactly what you like and their prices are reasonable for what you get.

Anyone got experience with these, or the Veto Pro Pac, or Duluth Trading's "big house" tool bag? I'm also looking at backpack-style bags. Here's what I'm looking for:

Zippers, velcro, or snaps on everything, so I don't lose an iota if the bag tumbles around in the back of the car when I corner too hard.

A large flat pocket, for my cf-72 laptop. In a backpack this should be closest to my body, since it's the largest, heaviest single item.

Some "high" and "low" pockets, to keep everything from bunching up at the bottom of the bag.

And here's a kicker: The fabric shouldn't be black. If most of the light shined into the bag is absorbed, it's harder to find things. Canvas color would be better.

Does such a thing exist?
