I've had the 1/4 and 3/8 drive flexhead versions of these Gearwrench ratchets for over a month and they have performed well. They're longer than normal ratchets, heve 60 teeth which allow for less handle movement to engage a tooth. The balance is good and the soft grip handle isn't bulky. You could slide a pipe over the handle but, save that for your 1/2 drive breaker bar. There are some similiarities to the Snap on version but, when you compare the two side by side, there are more differences than similiarities. I feel the quality of these ratchets are far above the Stanley version of the MAC microtough ratchets. Just like there are different levels of quality for US made tools, there seems to be a vast difference between China made tools and those produced in Taiwan. Gearwrench tools won't make anyone give up their Snap on tools but, they offer a decent product at 1/3 the price.

Hmmm... looks like another purdy Snap On rip-off from Taiwan. Stanley tools has been marketing these things for some time (albeit not identical).
