Torque control wrenches and screwdrivers help you put things together the right way the first time.  But while torque wrenches are commonplace, you just don’t see that many torque screwdrivers around.  We wrote about one a while back, but it was a bit pricey.  Wiha makes a number of more reasonably priced torque screwdrivers — with great featuresets to boot.

For example, the pictured TorqueVario S model offers adjustment from 5 to 10 in-lbs in 0.2 in-lb increments, and pricing starts right around $70 online.  (You dial in the desired torque setting in the window at the right of the photo.)

Wiha offers various TorqueVario models that cover a wide range of torque setting possibilites, and each ‘driver automatically enables a reverse torque of 50% higher than the indicated setting to assist in easy removal of fasteners.
