The last set of color-coded lugnut sockets I saw were these long barbell-shaped gizmos made of a flexible alloy. They’re meant to flex when a certain torque is reached, and when used in conjunction with an air wrench, they effectively prevent the gorillas in the garage from snapping off your lugs.
Search for “torque socket”, you can find singles for $20 or sets from $80.

harbor Freight sells a similar set without the bling for 15.99. I Autocross and keep a set handy to keep from scratching my wheels.

Of course, if the scratch resistance is all you’re looking for, a bit of heatshrink or tape will do ya just fine and cost a nickel.
