Hey, watch it with the kicking, Peter! ;)

Hosting problems are no fun, I understand that. You guys do a great job with the site, and I was just trying to make sure you knew about an issue that might not have been obvious. Since you already knew, I guess I probably came across as whiny. That wasn't my intent; I only have the users' best interests at heart!

As my posting volume here might indicate, Toolmonger instantly rose into my list of favorite "daily must-read" sites. I'll try not to obsess...

A welder is on my list of things to buy. I passed up a good deal on a plasma cutter on craigslist and I'm still kicking myself for it. The only internal debate i'm having now is, mig or tig? Decisions, decisions..

Myself:

Thanks for your comments -- both the original one and this one. Over the weekend we had a lot of problems with our hosting service -- more than normal -- and we're in the process of rectifying that for the future. In the meantime, we're way loaded down keeping things running here while we deal with those issues.

We'll moderate your comment as soon as possible. Have faith -- it's not lost!

So, two days ago I posted a response with a bunch of links, since I figured if people find the Miller library interesting enough to add to their bookmarks, maybe some of my other finds would come in handy too.

Apparently your CMS quarrantined it as possible spam, which is reasonable since it had oodles of links. I figured it'd be moderated as soon as y'all came back from your weekend. Well, there've been a bunch of new items posted to the site now, but my (helpful, useful!) comment still sits in moderation limbo.

Oh, and your CMS has trouble hitting its backend server on weekends. If you notice unusually low posting volume some days, that's probably why. Some of us are persistent enough to try again every few minutes or hours until it succeeds, but I think a lot of visitors don't bother.

And since this comment really means very little to the general audience here, I won't be offended if you delete it from the site after reading it.
