Yea, Moritz, I was wondering the same thing as well. I haven't tried these blades myself, but it looks like you may be right after examining my Craftsman jig saw. Has anyone actually tried these blades?

If you have a Bosch style jig saw, using these may not be a good idea. My jig saw ha a screw that holds the blade in place more or less where the hole is in the "universal" blades. Once you start sawing, the screw will slip into the hole. Needless to say, this will mess up the screw badly.
