How-To: Build a Dart Board Surround to Save Your Wall
By Chuck CageThe Finished Product

Here it is, mounted and ready to go. The final tally: $50 worth of materials and a light weekend day (about 5 hours) of work. Plus, we get to play darts in the house without holes in the wall!
Update: To make it a little more “professional,” we added a dart holder on the wall beside the board. It’s just a 1″ square piece of oak with holes drilled in the top for darts and two large screws mounting it to the wall. If you want to be really fancy, you can cut a few pieces of molding trim to surround it.

Step 1: Practice, practice, practice.
Step 2: Build dart board surround.
Step 3: Hide gazillion holes in wall from practicing with new surround.
Very detailed howto. Nicely done.
I notice, however, the screws are still philips head…

[...] How ’bout a cool bar-quality surround for your dart board? It’s easy to build, cheap, looks good, and actually lets you play darts and get your apartment deposit back. [...]

We build this dart board. It looks great but the darts don’t stick in the wood and just fall on the floor!!!!
