It is "silicon carbide" not "silicone carbide", of the million pet peeves I have, this is #1.
The grinding wheels pictured are fiberglass reenforced grinding wheels (and discs), and just a subset of the wonderful world of grinding wheels, which more commonly are conceived of as the vitrified type found on bench grinders.
The narrator states that those reenforced wheels are made as small as 2", which may be true for that particular manufacturer, but I have some that are 1" in diameter for use on my dremel...</description>
