Usually the mandrel has flat sides that a wrench can fit. I've then used a screwdriver in the slot on the side of the blade. Some blades have holes or pegs for tools similar to the tool often used to hold a grinder blade for loosening.

I just bought the unit pictured today to install deadbolts on my exterior doors, and I've run into a problem. After cutting the large whole for the deadbolt itself, I can't get the 2 1/8 inch hole saw off of the mandrel bit. Either it is on there incredibly tight, or I am an idiot. How do I get it off?

I have a couple of these -- one of them is the exact model pictured. The catch is that they are only good for a couple of door before something breaks. The holesaws are light duty jobbers that don't interchange parts with the mfgs regular line of holesaws and the jigs and the rest of kit are similarly light duty. If you are only going to install a door once in a great while these will gitrdone. If you are going to be installing door hw as regular thing you should seriously consider ponying up for a pro kit
